Task Lighting

Task Lighting has some innovative lighting products that can be used throughout a home.  These products, such as undercabinet lighting or interior cabinet lighting, above sink and their Angle Power Strip, can be useful in a kitchen design.

We have the Angle Power Strips by Task Lighting in our showroom.  We have plugs all the way across our large kitchen so we’re never lacking a place to plug something in.  The plug strips are hidden from plain sight because they’re angled and located directly underneath the cabinetry.  This creates a clean look and you don’t have to cut out places for ugly plug receptacles in your beautiful tile backsplash.

Undercabinet lighting, above sink lighting and other types of specifically placed lighting (lighting over an island) create task lighting.  Task lighting is not only the company’s name, it is a term we use.  Task lighting is what it sounds like – lighting used to create well-lit “work” areas, whether it’s lighting in your kitchen, office, or light in a reading area.   Think about your kitchen…  If you’re washing dishes, you need to see well to make sure your dishes are actually clean.  If you’re chopping vegetables on your island or countertop, isn’t it nice to be able to see what you’re doing so that you don’t cut yourself?

Accent lighting is great for a bathroom.  It allows you to have decorative lighting and to highlight certain areas of your bathroom.  Plus accent lighting can provide a dimly lit pathway that’s great for nighttime use.  Don’t you hate turning on bright lights in the middle of the night?  Accent lighting in other areas of your home, such as to accent a collection or piece of art.
